WOW What a cracking night! Our WM W Bro Ian Silcock accompanied by the IPM W Bro David Watson and soon to be Master Elect, Bro Paul Smith, travelled to Chester le Street to visit Lumley Lodge 5807 the mother lodge of our Visiting Support Officer Craig Pattison who is a regular visitor to our lodge. We were made welcome from the moment we arrived and enjoyed a very good piece of ritual in the form of an abbreviated version of the Third Degree. Well done to all involved. We retired to the festive board where we partook of an excellent meal of soup, steak pie (huge slice), chips etc followed by dessert and cheese board. What a feast! This was all complimented by harmony provided by W Bro Peter Thompson who is a fine singer and obviously enjoyed what he did. He put heart and soul into his set which concluded with “Bring him home” from Les Misérables sung in tribute to W Bro Len who recently passed to the Grand Lodge Above. A brilliant night was had by all and our thanks go to all at Lumley Lodge 5807 for their hospitality. We will definitely be returning.
